UNHIDE Conference 2019
The 2nd edition of the UNHIDE Conference, the biggest Digital Art event in Latin America, will take place from September 27 to 29 in São Paulo, Brazil. It’s expected that around 7,500 attendees will be there for Lectures, Workshops, Panel Discussions and a lot more. Produced by Unhide School, the event is sponsored by Wacom and Lightfarm Studios.
In September, the city of São Paulo will host the largest Digital Art Festival in Latin America, bringing together professionals and speakers from the world's largest entertainment studios and entertainment companies in areas such as games, movies, advertising, architecture, design, and music production. This second edition of the Unhide Conference will take place from September 27th to 29th at the Anhembi Convention Center and is expected to receive about 7,500 people for over 100 hours of content with up to 30 speakers in 10 discussion panels and 15 workshops.Among the confirmed guest speakers is Mike Winkelman from Beeple, a 3D professional, famous for his "Everydays" series, in which he launches a new drawing every day over the last 11 years. The artist also participated in productions such as Spiderverse and creating album covers for the well-known band Imagine Dragons. Erik Johansson, one of the most influential names in photography and photo manipulation in the world, is also one of the confirmed international guest speakers, along with Jama Jurabaev, Illustrator and Concept Artists for movies that include Beauty and The Beast and The Avengers.
Some confirmed speakers on the Brazilian team include Kris Costa, creative modeling leader for ILM, Bernardo Romero, award-winning Art Director and currently Executive Creative Director at Gray NY, and Alex Oliver, one of the most important 3D Artists and Sculptors inside and outside the country. Also at the event will be the producers of O2, recognized by "Cidade de Deus", Fernando Meirelles' "Blindness", and Vetor Zero, who signs the country's main advertising films.The festival consists of lectures in the main auditorium with a capacity for 2,500 people and 15 more parallel workshops spread around the Anhembi auditoriums. In addition, there will be 6 Art Battles, 10 panels at the sponsors' booths and a large party at the end of each day.
In the event schedule there will also be, for the very first time, the UNHIDE Awards, which will elect the best professionals and thinkers of digital art in five categories: 3D, 2D Illustration, Animation, Advertising and Photography. This opportunity also reaches out to the students to participate and bring in their A game.
